With a group of fellow student designers, we created a brand identity for our capstone show, which had to be held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We chose a "glitchy" pixel-based typeface as the core visual element, reflecting the digital nature of the event and the challenges of navigating a virtual world during this time. To contrast with the digital type, we incorporated hand-drawn scribbles, introducing a childlike, playful element that balanced the more structured type branding. This combination demonstrated how the physical and digital can be thoughtfully integrated, creating a cohesive visual narrative that spoke to the adaptability and creativity of our graduating class.
